Lovely house and people telling the story of Tom, his life and his art. It's explicit, so if that's not for you, don't go. If you're cool with it, it's a do not miss. Tours are given only twice a week. There is a library and a gift shop. Book tours online, call first for other use. They were kind enough to let me join a tour when I called 20 minutes before. One of my LA highlights.

Great museum. The house where gay iconic artist, Tom of Finland lived is a vivid home, art residency and head quarters of the Tom of Finland foundation. The beautiful craftsman house in a lush garden is filled with gay erotic art. It also houses a library about erotic art and several artists archives. Volunteers give guided tours through the house on which you can also see the untouched room in which Tom lived. A must see for every gay visitor to Los Angeles.

They have a great collection of works centering around the LGBT community with TONS of history. The tour was super informative and I even got to meet Sharp and Dirk along with one of the resident artists who are currently living there working on their own pieces. As a gay guy who had never seen or heard his work, I found Tom’s house inspiring engaging. I loved our guide and I look forward to checking out some of the other recommendations he gave for some activities around the area. I definitely plan on coming back. I suggest everyone check it out!
