Legacy Workshops is a new creative series for adults ages 60 and older that invites participants to explore art making, connect with others, and honor the magic of a creative practice.

This month’s Legacy Workshop focuses on exploring and getting creative with wet media. Try your hand at watercolor, acrylic painting, and simple printmaking. Bring something you’re currently working on (no larger than 16 x 20 inches) or a sketch you’d like to turn into a painting. Come ready to explore and create at your own pace. No experience is necessary!

Bio: Stephen Batiz is a self-taught painter, illustrator, and installation artist exploring the spaces between isolation and connection. Through painting, drawing, and interactive experiences, he creates work that invites people to slow down, participate, and reflect on their own presence in the world. Rooted in curiosity and experimentation, Batiz’s practice transforms personal symbolism and material exploration into shared moments of recognition and connection.
