Extended Stay America Suites- Hampton - Coliseum
Many guests praise the staff, particularly Nisha at the front desk, for providing excellent customer service and making them feel welcome. However, a significant number of visitors report being denied check-in and refused refunds due to a discrepancy between the stated minimum age of 18 on booking sites and the hotel's actual policy of 21.

Nisha at the front desk was amazing
My stay here at the Hampton Coliseum was absolutely awesome. The Front Desk Clerk ( Nisha) gave amazing customer service ( above & beyond) as well as the General Manager- Bianca Mincey . Great team work with the both of them .
Customer service was the best.
Nice and quiet and very secluded. Safe and clean. Most welcoming staff ever! Wish I could give 10 stars. Amazing. Love it here. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Can’t beat this customer service. They really make you feel like family.
My nephew booked a hotel for his wrestling trip. Since he is 18 he booked a hotel that says twice on the website that minimum check in is 18 years old. He arrived and was left with out a place to stay as the front desk said must be 21. Not only did the turn him away they refuse to refund the money even though they are at fault. What type respectful business does? They are at fault, you can make it right by refunding the money.
My nephew booked a stay for May 22-25th. Booked in hotels.com minimum check age is 18years of age. When he arrived at front desk refused him a room and said minimum age for check in is 21 years of age. The website states minimum check in is 18 years of age. The hotel refused to honor the room they sold him. It gets better they refuse to refund him his money. This is absolutely a deciptive practice of the hotel to take advantage consumer under 21 years of age. The hotel responded on his review with only an apology. The minimum they can do is refund the money for the hotel since it was there fault with incorrect hotel information. Hotel is a fraud.

Filling a complaint with Office of the Attorney General of Virginia for deceptive practices. ***POST UPDATE 05/25/2026 Hotel responded to my sons review. They only offered an apology. The website states that minimum check in is 18years old. This is there error. They refuse to refund my money. This is fraud!!!
