Welcome to watch the rainbow lesson 18.11.!
About the event
During Children's Rights Week, Seta is organizing a Rainbow Lesson for 5th and 6th graders via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, November 18, from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM. The lesson can be followed with the teacher's guidance together with the class!
The lesson consists of a 30-minute lecture that includes information on key concepts related to sexual orientation and gender diversity. It also addresses phenomena related to gender and heteronormativity and how norms can limit everyone's lives.
After the lecture, students will have 15 minutes to ask questions. Students do not need their own computer, as the teacher will present the questions via the Q&A tool.
The Rainbow Lesson is taught by Seta's education expert Venla Suutari.

Instructions for the teacher
Join Teams. Participants' cameras and microphones will be automatically off throughout the lesson. After the lesson, you can ask the students if they have any questions. Write the questions in Teams using the Q&A tool.
If desired, the teacher can do the following exercises with the group after the rainbow lesson:
1) Some people think there are colors for girls and boys. What do you think about that? Are there other things that are thought to be suitable only for girls or boys?
Tell them that students have 5 minutes to discuss, after which they will discuss together.
