Sevilla – Sevilla Diversidad organizes the “Queer Encounter: Embroidery Workshop” facilitated by Desbordadas Lab

Sevilla Diversidad is launching a new initiative to foster community connection and creation among the LGTBIQ+ community in the province. On this occasion, we will have the “Queer Encounter: Embroidery Workshop,” a space facilitated by Desbordadas Lab designed to express, share, and transform experiences from the intimate and poetic. During the workshop, we will learn to embroider on handkerchiefs and on a common piece, letting the threads help us tell stories, make emotions visible, or simply share time in community. No prior embroidery experience is required, just the desire to create with your hands and connect at a different pace. 📋 Activity details: 📅 : Saturday, October 17, 2026. ⏰ : 11:00 AM. 📍 : Centro Cívico Hogar San Fernando (Seville). 🤝 : Organized by: Sevilla Diversidad with the collaboration of the Seville City Council. 🎨 : Facilitated by: Desbordadas Lab. 🧵 Necessary materials: To participate, you need to bring the following basic materials from home: – Embroidery hoop, scissors, needles, threads, and fabric for embroidery. – (Optional / Extra): threader and thermal pen. 💡 Note: If you do not have these materials or have difficulty obtaining them, please contact Sevilla Diversidad before the workshop and we will help you get them. 📝 Registration: The activity is free but requires prior registration to organize the spaces.
