I understand it's a hostel and not a 4-star hotel, but I can't accept arriving at a place that's almost completely renovated. Loose wires, dirty floors, everything unfinished. From the moment we entered, the lobby was full of boxes, all covered in cement. Horrible. It's not pleasant at all to arrive and see the place in that state. The bathrooms were beyond words. The men's were worse than the women's, as you can see in the photos. We stayed two days at another hostel for the same price range and received incredible service. This can't be justified simply because it's a hostel. It's a basic matter of customer service. They didn't even apologize or mention anything about it.
⚠️ Booking paid and confirmed, then canceled by the hotel a few hours later — financial loss not covered I am sharing this detailed review to inform future travelers and allow everyone to form their own opinion based on the facts. Precise timeline (with supporting documents): • May 29: Booking made and paid for in full via Booking.com. Confirmation email received immediately. A few hours later, the same day: Cancellation email sent by the hotel. Reason stated verbatim by the establishment: "Overbooking at the establishment." • June 1: Refund issued, three days after a payment that was instantaneous. The concrete consequences I experienced: • Refunded amount less than the amount paid. The difference is due to currency exchange fees. I find it questionable that these fees should be borne by the customer when the cancellation originated with the establishment. • Unavailability of other offers I had rejected when confirming with them: between booking and cancellation, several attractive alternatives were no longer available. • Significantly more expensive new booking made in a rush. Compensation process via Booking.com is complex and capped: I have to provide the invoice for the replacement booking, and the refund of the difference is limited by a ceiling. A lot of time and effort for a loss I didn't cause. • A hole in my travel budget even before departure, while waiting for the refund. 🤔 What I would have expected from a professional establishment: • A full refund of the amount paid, including exchange fees, since the cancellation originates from the hotel. • Direct reimbursement of the price difference with the replacement booking, without referring the customer to a third-party process. • A refund timeframe aligned with the payment processing time. At the very least, a gesture of goodwill acknowledging the inconvenience. None of this was offered to me. My personal experience: I was looking for a simple, sleep-and-go type stay—one night, a bed, and off I went. Instead, I spent several days dealing with an unexpected administrative situation. You book a hotel to rest, not to have a financial dispute resolved before you've even unpacked. Let everyone judge for themselves: The above facts are documented (emails, bank statements, and screenshots are available). I encourage every future guest to take them into account, as well as to read other reviews, to make an informed decision. Personally, I will not be returning.
It's very good for what it is, and they're improving it right now, so it's going to be even better in a while.
Great value for money. The capsule was clean, cosy, and had air conditioning. Convenient location. The staff, Louise, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Bad vibes only! Poor staff. We paid €4 per suitcase to leave it for 2 hours. When we came back, they couldn't find our backpacks... they didn't remember where they had put them. After 2 phone calls and 8 minutes, we finally got our backpacks back. Rooms and air conditioning are fine. But bad staff and the reception is under renovation.
It was awful, I had to leave all because of the heat, the terrible smell, and the rude receptionists. Don't be fooled by the low price.
