Town Hall Hotel Newtown

First time for food here and it not good for me, not worth my 27$ sorry one and last time for food but will come for drink 😉

Friendly venue for social drink with friends.

We hadn’t even entered the premises and the bouncer (tall older guy) grabbed my phone out of my hand and proceeded to go through it out of reach and out of sight, without asking or any permission. When I asked for my phone back he proceeded to scroll through it and did not return it and argued he was “checking the ID wasn’t a screenshot”. He was aggressive and had no authority to do this, it is illegal.

Wow,yeah .Pity I can't go down to a half star.Been coming here for decades as it slowly slides into the abyss.It used to be the place in Newtown to hang out.Id bring my friends here and party until wow.Id bring visiting bands here from Oseas.But if I had a mangy dog I wouldn't bring it here anymore.You can flush the atmosphere,I won't bring atmosphere here if there was Zombies outside.The food.....Well , kitchen equipment broken, management disputes with the caterer.So any particular favs are not happening.Forget the menu here and on the bar. The bar staff..... upstairs.....You order a favorite of everyone,no they don't tell you there are substitutions.They forget your drink order The tables even on a slow nite not cleared.You go to collect your knife and fork etc not even a serviette.Then your meal comes....I didn't order and pay for that!Ah the salamander is broken,the griller is broken.Thats means they can't give you the chicken parmi etc that you ordered from the menu and paid for! Avoid the place at your own peril.Everywhere else in Newtown/Enmore is better.

Great place , excellent staff definitely a must visit pub.

Great mixed beer selection…. Relaxed type of place during the day..sit by the window and watch Newtown walk by..

Super nice atmosphere if you want to grab a beer in the middle of Newton and what's the busy intersection + sunset. Staff are really kind and happy hour is most notably kinder. A great spot !

Nice spot in the sun can be enjoyed here. The omelette and tacos are good. The service relaxed.

Music was a tad loud, hard to hold a conversation
