What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the Peregian Beach Hotel for its excellent food, friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere, with some calling it a great spot for both locals and visitors. However, a recurring complaint is extremely long wait times for food, with some meals taking over 1.5 hours to arrive, and occasional poor service from individual staff members.

Food here is awesome. Some of the best food I've had on the Sunshine Coast. Love having lunch here. Note: gets real noisy when there's live music at night - real loud.

The food is absolutely amazing. This is the second time we have been here in a short period of time and we ordered the exact same dishes! Would definitely recommend! Our whole group all loved there meals. I had goldband snapper with Vietnamese salad it’s absolutely delicious. There is so much flavour in there-amazing! The rump steak dish was a taste sensation! The fish and chips were very tasty too apparently.

Went to a private function in a room off the main bar. Staff were great and very helpful. Finger food served was excellent. All other facilities seen were clean with plenty of people in attendance. Being such a popular spot, parking was a problem because the parking area belonging to the hotel was quite small. Apart from that would rate the hotel a great place for a get together with both indoor and outdoor facilities available.

A good number of vegetarian options on the menu. Lots of seating areas.

This pub has always been our go-to restaurant and the place we proudly take visiting family and friends. Unfortunately, after our last two experiences, we won’t be returning. Both visits involved extremely long wait times, with meals taking over 1.5 hours to arrive. What made it even more frustrating was watching tables seated after us receive their meals well before ours. Friday night’s visit was the final straw. After waiting over 90 minutes, our meals finally arrived. Three of the four meals were stone cold, while the fourth was hot but looked like it had simply been thrown onto the plate. The steaks didn’t match the menu description and were very average in quality. Throughout the evening we were repeatedly told our meals were “just coming.” Staff offered complimentary drinks and chips, but by that point we simply wanted the meals we had ordered. We asked to speak with the manager, however the waitress was left trying to manage the situation herself. She was lovely and did her best, but it was obvious the information she was receiving from the kitchen wasn’t accurate. Front-of-house staff shouldn’t be left to handle situations like this without proper support. Yes, we received a round of drinks and a small discount, but we still paid good money for a very disappointing dining experience. The food quality, service, and overall experience have clearly declined from the venue we used to rave about and visit regularly. It’s incredibly disappointing because this was once one of our favourite places. We gave it more than one chance, but unfortunately that’s enough for us.

Good food, nice service but they don’t let you taste the beers before buying! First time I have ever heard of this. The beers are quite expensive too so doesn’t make much sense. I only bought one beer as a result and went to bws afterwards instead. Sort this out guys! You’re the only pub in the country who has this policy! It’s unaustralian.

Beautifully furnished hotel, clean tables, a great selection of drinks, and nice food. The staff were happy and helpful—what else do you need for a perfect afternoon?
