Yakir Ein Hod, on Carmel Mountain, is a good base for exploring Israel’s north, especially if you like a sea view and a pool.
You’ll find this place on a hillside, looking out over Atlit Bay. It’s got an outdoor pool and a spa, which means you can spend a day there or just use it as a place to sleep between day trips.
The rooms are self-catering suites, each with a sea view and direct access to the pool deck. Inside, there's an LCD TV, satellite channels, and a DVD player. Some suites also have a spa bath, which is a nice touch.
Ein Hod is an artists’ colony, so the village itself has a relaxed, creative feel, with a few restaurants, pubs, and cafes. If you want a proper beach, Atlit’s sandy stretches are about a 15-minute drive. You’re not right on the water here, but that view makes up for it.

A wonderful, beautiful, and interesting place. We visited the Musical Instruments Museum and the Manola Gallery. We had a blast and were filled with positive energy. I highly recommend it.
