Yaas Queen! queer chess club
About the event
Queens of all genders, it’s time to checkmate some kings at Yas Queen! — our chess club, workshop, and social space open to players of all skill levels. Beginners are especially welcome! ♟✨
Our mission is to make chess fun, inclusive, and empowering while challenging the outdated norms of traditional chess spaces. Come for the game, stay for the sense of belonging, community, and connection.
Chessboards will be provided, but feel free to bring your own and play against fellow chess enthusiasts.
About the venue
Queer Cafe on Șoseaua Hîncești is a community space rather than a commercial nightclub. It is one of the very few openly queer venues in Moldova. Listings describe a mix of cafe hours, parties, film screenings, a book club, workshops and discussion groups, run by a local LGBTQ+ association…
“A really nice place for a city like Chisinau :)! Good prices and an inclusive atmosphere.” — N, Google
