About the venue

Play is listed as an LGBTQ+ bar at 2409 Grant Street in Montrose, the centre of Houston's gay nightlife. There is no phone, website or opening hours on file, and only about two dozen Google reviews, so we know little about the format, crowd or schedule…

“I came to Play Nightlife because Eagle was closed. This has been a great place to chill and mingle with friends. Noting Play is at Suite D and Pause is at Suite A, but there is no sign. There is a hallway connecting both bars in the back. Parking is somewhat available in the front.” — Yelper Lou MC, Google
“I love Play!! They are always having something fun going on whether it’s a pageant, drag show, or just good vibes. I also love the drag battles that they do as it gives new/local queens the opportunity to get their name out and entertain!!” — Allyssa H, Google
