A play based on Édouard Louis' novels about the transformation of a mother-son relationship, triggered by the decision to break the cycle of violence and silence.

Eddy B. grew up in a poor working-class family in northern France, in an environment of violence, daily humiliation, and homophobia. As an adult, he decided to leave. He changed his name, wrote about his childhood in books, and became famous. He spoke about things that were never discussed at home, and in doing so, became one of the most prominent authors of contemporary French literature. But his success didn't just mean a change for him. By making his story public, he was able to offer his mother the chance to leave and start over as well. But at what cost, when the whole world now knows their private lives?

The theatrical adaptation loosely connects three novels by Édouard Louis: How to Become Someone Else, Who Killed My Father, and Monique in Flight.

AUDIENCE ADVISORY: The production features strobe lighting effects, which may not be suitable for individuals with epilepsy.
