Free online training 23.9. Rainbow people in sports and sports facilities – ways to dismantle participation barriers

In honor of European Week of Sport, Seta is organizing a free training session for sports professionals! #BeActive
The training will be held on 23.9.2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM on Microsoft Teams.
Movement and exercising together are at their best when they are sources of well-being, joy, and community. Everyone should have the opportunity to exercise safely and as themselves. Rainbow people face various structures and practices in the world of sports that limit their opportunities to participate in sports activities or use sports facilities. Rainbow people also face harassment in sports, school sports, and at the competitive level.
The training offers concrete tools and information for professionals, club officials, and enthusiasts working in sports. After the training, participants will learn to identify and dismantle practices that may often unknowingly exclude rainbow people from sports and exercise.
For example, you will get answers to these questions:

What kinds of things exclude participants who belong to sexual and gender minorities?
How can facilities accommodate participants who belong to gender minorities?
What practical measures can increase participants' sense of security, for example, at the beginning of the season?
How can harassment and inappropriate behavior be addressed?
What can every coach, instructor, customer service representative, or participant do to make everyone feel seen?
