De’Anza with CQ the Drummer
About the event
De’Anza, a Santa Fe native now living a nomadic life in Mexico, blends Mexican mysticism, witchy cumbias, and ancestral rhythms into haunting, story-driven songs LA Weekly called “a force of nature behind the microphone.” Her music has been featured on CNN, NPR, and ABC.
Joining her is CQ the Drummer, a Grammy Award-winning producer, percussionist, and hybrid DJ blending Afro-Caribbean roots, Latin rhythms, and Afro-tropical energy into his sets.
