Tasteless Open Stage – Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

Camp, horror and gloriously questionable taste are back at Villa Vida Café.

Tasteless Open Stage Vienna returns on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at 19:30, this time with a Halloween-season tribute to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

Expect queer performance, open-stage chaos and plenty of camp. In other words, tasteful restraint has once again not been invited.

The October edition follows September's Tasteless Open Stage, which combined live queer performance with a screening of The VelociPastor.

Queer Performance, Camp and Open-Stage Chaos

Tasteless Open Stage celebrates performances that do not necessarily behave themselves.

The format creates space for queer performance, experimentation, drag and ideas that might be a little too strange for a conventional stage. As a result, every edition can bring something different.

You do not need to be a horror expert or know everything about Elvira to join. Likewise, there is no required dress code.
