About the event
Hi, I'm Julia (she/her), queer myself and living poly. Social worker by profession and soon to complete further training in trauma counseling and trauma pedagogy. This workshop series is part of my final project. I look forward to creative evenings and open exchange with you. Workshop Coming Out & Trauma Coming Out can be a highly stressful to traumatic experience. It can also evoke positive feelings such as relief and pride. One does not exclude the other. Strong emotions are stored and accompany us throughout our lives, often unconsciously. I would like to invite you to become aware of these feelings, to weaken negative feelings and strengthen positive ones with methods from trauma pedagogy. And finally, to get to know your resources that can give you security in future challenging times. Dates: 09/23: What feelings did my coming out trigger in me? Creative work: we represent the feelings as a color gradient 09/30 Through guided imagination exercises, stressful feelings are weakened and positive feelings are strengthened 10/07 What strengthens me in everyday life? We collect personal resources and record them in the style of protest posters Always from 7:00 PM for 1-2 hours. Group size of max. 8 participants. The dates build on each other, ideally you should be able to attend all 3 dates. Registration and inquiries by email at julia.watschonig@gmail.
