About the event

There are very many men who only discover and want to live their homosexuality as family fathers. The resulting problems, such as accepting 'being gay' or coping with feelings of guilt towards their partner and children, have led to the formation of self-help groups. Here, gay fathers find the opportunity for the first time to speak out and learn that their problems are shared by many others. In doing so, the individual can articulate his fears and is encouraged to consciously deal with his situation - with the help of the group; because from the description of their own experience, possible paths are shown to him. There are many different situations: some fathers live in the family and want to stay there, others are in the separation phase or have already separated from their family, others live with their children or have entered into a gay partnership. A major problem area is the relationship of the gay father to his child, in particular, he faces the difficulty of explaining his situation and the possible separation from the family to the child. We meet every 2nd.
