Queerdenker* Meeting — Stuttgart Pride / CSD
About the event
The Queer Thinkers originated in 2017 from the desire of a few young people who felt that Stuttgart was still lacking an open, colorful space for young queer people. Back then, with little knowledge but twice as much passion, a small group of about ten people met at Schlossplatz to put an idea into action. Plans were made, names were chosen, logos were designed, and locations were sought. After a few of these meetings and a lot of planning, we had found a name (Queerdenker) and a place (CAFE RATZ Untertürkheim) and everything was ready to go. Our first meeting took place on October 15, 2017, and since then we have met once a month – always on the last Sunday of the month – at CAFE RATZ.
Our meetings are for all people from the LSBTTIQ+ community, but also for people who are not yet entirely sure or are simply interested in the topic and would like to learn more about it. We offer an open space where, with a changing framework program, the queer theme (but not only!) is offered, and where you can get to know yourself and others better!
About the venue
Stuttgart Pride, or CSD Stuttgart, is the organising association behind the city's annual Christopher Street Day Pride week, usually held in late July. It is one of the larger CSDs in Germany, with a political parade through the city centre, a culture programme and a street party…
