Support Group: Trans People 18 years and older

The group is intended for all trans people over 18 years of age, binary and non-binary, and people who are wondering if they might be trans.
The group is led every other month by Sigga Birna, a consultant at Samtökin ’78, who has extensive knowledge and experience when it comes to trans issues.
Board members of Trans Ísland lead the other meetings.
At meetings, you can discuss everything related to trans and the process that may follow, but at these meetings, we place special emphasis on answering people's questions about:

the first steps in the process, whether social, physical and/or legal
how/when is the best time to come out
how do I know if I am trans
Landspítalinn's trans team
dysphoria/gender identity

Everyone is welcome at the meetings, both those who are at the beginning of their journey and those who are further along, and it is always good to have people with more experience at the meetings to answer the questions of those who are earlier in the process.
