Torremolinos Pride
About This Event
Torremolinos has a history of openly gay bars, dating back to the 1960s when Pasaje Begoña was the spot. That era ended with a police raid in June 1971, but today the town actively courts LGBTQ+ visitors. The town hall runs Torremolinos Pride, a municipal program built with local associations.
It's a ten-day affair, usually from late May into early June, with free concerts and galas around Plaza de la Nogalera. You'll find a flag raising, an opening speech, sports, and a cultural program. The Saturday march is the grand finale. In 2026, it started at the Ayuntamiento at 5pm, kicked off at 6pm with 23 floats and 13 associations, and ended at the Centro Cultural Pablo Ruiz Picasso with a manifesto reading.
Most events happen around La Nogalera and Pasaje Begoña, a short walk from the Torremolinos stop on the Málaga to Fuengirola commuter train.
The 2026 edition, from 26 May to 6 June, had the slogan "Donde se siembra cultura, florece la libertad". Headliners included Miss Caffeina, Agoney, and Alba Reche. Satín Greco, the winner of Drag Race España, gave the opening speech, and two drag kings performed for the first time.
The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
