Die ambitionierte queere Filmemacherin (Hannah Einbinder) erhält den Auftrag, einen neuen Teil für die finanziell schwächelnde Slasherfilm-Reihe Camp Miasma zu drehen. Im Zuge der Arbeit entwickelt sie eine zunehmende Faszination für das „Final Girl“ des Originals (Gillian Anderson) und schließlich gelingt es ihr, die inzwischen zurückgezogen lebende Frau noch einmal für die Reihe zu engagieren. Bald aber führt die Begegnung mit der mysteriösen Frau in ungekannte, von Wahnvorstellungen geprägte Untiefen der Angst und Lust. – FILMSTARTS
