About the event

What? Digital Expert Day "Date Rape Drugs & Chemical Submission" | When? on Wed 23.09.2026 | 9 AM-1 PM | Where? zoom | The Gisèle Pelicot case has brought the term "chemical submission" (soumission chimique) into public and professional awareness internationally. This refers to the secret or forced administration of psychoactive substances to make the affected person defenseless or incapacitated – usually in the context of sexualized violence. Characteristic are often substance-induced memory lapses in those affected and difficult forensic traceability. This leads to complex challenges for counseling, medicine, law enforcement, and therapeutic processing. The State Working Group for Sexualized Violence – Prevention & Intervention in Saxony e.V. (LAG SGPI) invites you to the digital expert day "Date Rape Drugs & Chemical Submission" to bring together current professional perspectives and deepen knowledge. Within the framework of the expert day, basic information on date rape drugs and chemical submission will be provided in four lectures and supplemented by perspectives from a specialized counseling center and forensic medicine. Subsequently, police investigation approaches in suspected cases will be examined. Another focus is on the therapeutic challenges in processing traumatic experiences without secured memory.
