Read. Listen. Connect. – Feminist Voices: Maike Schöfer

Over three evenings from September to December, LUX-Junge Kirche Nürnberg provides space for feminist themes. The reading evenings will feature excerpts from books, musical accompaniment, and thematic moderation. All readings start at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM) at LUX-Junge Kirche Nürnberg, Leipziger Str. 25, 90419 Nürnberg. Tickets are available online or at the box office for €12-€20.
The reading series concludes with Maike Schöfer on December 1, 2026, with “No. – An Incitement to Saying No”. In her book, the queer pastor from Berlin calls on women to want to please less and to dare to say “No” more often. She wants to reclaim the feminist “No” as an act of self-assertion. The evening will be musically accompanied by Sarah Rothascher and Nici Nitz and moderated by medical ethicist Caro Hack.
