Read. Listen. Connect. – Feminist Voices: Nana Myrrhe

Over three evenings from September to December, LUX-Junge Kirche Nürnberg will provide space for feminist topics. The reading evenings will feature excerpts from the books, musical accompaniment, and thematic moderation. All readings begin at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7 PM) at LUX-Junge Kirche Nürnberg, Leipziger Str. 25, 90419 Nürnberg. Tickets are available online or at the box office for 12-20 Euros.
On 09/29/2026, Nana Myrrhe will kick things off with her book “Feucht & Fromm – Die schmutzigen Geheimnisse der Purity Culture” (Wet & Pious – The Dirty Secrets of Purity Culture). “Purity Culture” refers to the idea, widespread primarily in free churches and fundamentalist religious communities, that kissing, masturbation, and sex before marriage are considered sins and are forbidden. In her book and at the reading evening, Nana Myrrhe provides insights into her own experiences in a free church community, reports how the prescribed worldview began to crack, and clarifies with research and honesty. The evening will be accompanied musically by S CHALL + Frau and moderated by Deaconess and Sex Educator Victoria Altschäffel.
