About the event

Open mic slam. Do you know slam? It is poetry declaimed in public spaces, generally without music. It is a form of engaged poetry that allows for sharing strong and militant texts (but not only!). Every year, the Tels Quels Festival dedicates an evening to it. This year, the Collective Poetik Queer will be your MC. The stage is yours! Free entry. The bar is open. If you don't feel quite ready for the big leap, Boykid himself offers a workshop to prepare you in the afternoon. Your MC for the evening: BOYKID. Boykid was born in a gust of mistral wind. Since then, he has been wandering. Trans, disabled, angry, and Sunday cyclist poet, he is in search of places where creation heals as much as it tells. He is currently creating his first show 'Tout là bas la lumière', which will be performed at the Riches-Claires from November 4 to 20. He will play Moritz in the adaptation of 'Spring Awakening' directed by Ilyas Mettioui at the Théâtre de Poche in October. This activity is organized as part of our permanent education action supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Accessibility: The 'Les Grands Carmes' space is unfortunately not yet completely accessible to people with reduced mobility. We are working on it and doing everything possible to facilitate access in the coming years. To learn more, do not hesitate to contact us.
