Between Dreams and Dreams: Brasília's first fully original musical premieres on stage

With 20 original songs and text by Walter Amantéa, the show addresses purpose, choices, and the courage to live with meaning

With an unprecedented story and a soundtrack created especially for the stage, the musical “Entre Sonhos e Sonhos” premieres in Brasília in September. Produced by Bailacci Musicais, the show will have performances on September 19 and 20, at Teatro UNIP, and September 26 and 27, at Teatro Carmen Sallés, with two sessions per day. The production is idealized by Walter Amantéa, general director, author, composer, and producer of the work.
The production bets on a path still little explored in Brazilian musical theater: instead of adapting Broadway hits, films, or biographies, it brings an entirely original creation to the stage. In addition to the script, Amantéa signs the lyrics and the 20 songs composed especially for the show.
“We want to show that Brasília can also be a space for creating great original musicals. ‘Entre Sonhos e Sonhos’ was born here, with an unprecedented story and music designed for each moment of the narrative. It is a project that talks about choices, courage, and about what we often leave undone for fear of following our own dreams,” highlights Walter Amantéa.
The plot follows Vinícius Conradi, a young university student who reaches a decisive moment in his life: follow his true vocation in music or opt for the security of a more traditional path.
