ABC Bailão, on Rua Marquês de Itu downtown, is a wonderfully old-school gay ballroom — a gafieira where couples actually dance, drawing a mature, affectionate crowd that has kept the place going for years. It is a warm, unpretentious antidote to the big clubs, and one of the more characterful survivors of the traditional centro scene. Come for the dancing and the regulars.
