Medellín Christmas Festival of Lights and Christmas Illuminations

The Medellín Christmas Festival 2026 is one of the most important celebrations in the city, where colorful lights adorn the most emblematic public squares. The Christmas season in Medellín includes concerts, food stalls, cultural events, giant 3D figures, Christmas lights, and the Day of the Candles. The next edition is planned for late November or early January, with more than 4 million tourists visiting the city to enjoy the illuminations and cultural events. The main route of the lighting begins at the Pablo Tobón Uribe Theater and passes through places like the Medellín River, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Botero Park, Cerro Nutibara, and Calle 70, among others.
