About the event

Guest facilitator: Khalil Ali, MD, BSc (he/him), Lead Third Party Coordinator, Tripod Fertility
Workshop description:
Are you planning to grow your family through gestational surrogacy? From a clinical standpoint, coordinating a surrogacy journey involves precise medical protocols, specialized laboratory procedures and strict regulatory compliance. This workshop is designed for intended parents who want a clear, medical overview of how a fertility clinic manages a surrogacy cycle. Join us to break down the clinical milestones so you can confidently navigate your upcoming medical care.
We will cover:

Clinical screening: Health Canada compliance required infectious disease screening, genetic risk assessments and medical clearance for all parties
Donor/intended parent cycle: Ovarian stimulation protocols, egg retrieval and embryo creation in the IVF lab
Surrogate prep: Uterine lining optimization, hormone replacement protocols and lining check appointments
Embryo transfer: Clinical steps of the frozen embryo transfer (FET) and early post-transfer medical monitoring
