About the event

Eight days after he was shot by an assassin at Buffalo’s Pan-American Exposition, President William McKinley died in the early morning hours of September 14, 1901.
125 years after the tragic death of this much-loved president, we will honor him and his legacy by placing a wreath at Buffalo’s McKinley Monument, in Niagara Square.
The public is invited to join us (Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site) at the Delaware Ave entrance, between the Statler Hotel and the Robert H. Jackson Federal Courthouse for this solemn remembrance.
