My family moved to KC from Texas in 2001 for a job transfer, and we didn’t know anyone here. We started attending City Center Church (then Lenexa Christian Center) and we were welcomed with open arms! We are in our 20th year here and we love our church! You can truly “come as you are” to this Holy Spirit filled church, hear Bible centered preaching, enjoy amazing and authentic worship, build friendships, and grow in your walk with Jesus Christ!

Everyone is friendly and the Pastors focus us on the Bible with their teaching and personal examples. Their missions and outreach to the community help take the Word of God to the world.

We started attending here about 20 months ago. Love the sermons that Pastor Matt preaches. He stays true to the Bible and is truly gifted in relating the bible to real life and being an honest pastor. He shares life and the struggles he is going through, which I have never experienced before. Although it is more of a Pentacostal church (we come from Nazarene and Baptist backgrounds), I truly feel like we fit right in. What I also love is the diversity of this church. You will see every color and different nationalities here and we all realize we bleed the same, have the same struggles, and need Jesus in our lives. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ! This is the closest I think we will get to Heaven on Earth!!
