About This Event
Tropical Heat is Key West's gay men's summer party week — five days in mid-August, 12–16 August in 2026, when the island at the end of the Florida Keys fills up with men for a run of pool parties, boat trips and late nights. It is a smaller, looser, more tropical cousin of the big circuit weeks: sun, salt water and Duval Street rather than mega-clubs.
The hub is the Island House, the men-only resort on Fleming Street, which hosts the marquee pool parties — the PINK kick-off on the Wednesday, Five-Alarm on the Saturday, the Hot Naked pool party to close on Sunday. Around it the week runs through the gay bars on and off Duval: the Splash and Big "O" parties at the Bourbon Street Pub, a leather-and-underwear night at Saloon One, and a snorkel trip out on the water for a break from the dancefloor. It is now into its third decade, run by Gay Key West, the island's LGBTQ business guild.
Tickets are a VIP wristband that covers or discounts the parties plus an Island House pass, sold through keystix and the Gay Key West visitor centre on Duval; individual party tickets are also available.
Practical notes: Key West is a long way down — about 3.5 hours by car from Miami, or a short flight into Key West International. Mid-August is hot, humid and firmly in hurricane season, so watch the forecast. The island is tiny and walkable or bikeable; you will not need a car once you are there. Book early — Key West rooms are limited and pricey in season.

This is an adults-only, all-male circuit-style event — plan wardrobe (and stamina) for pool parties, theme nights and late-night events.
Base yourself walkable to Duval Street so you can bounce between pool events, bars and after-hours without needing a car.
