This show will take place in the Davidson/Valentini Theatre at the LA LGBT Center, 1125 N. McCadden Place.

A night of music and readings devoted to love and healing.

Celebrate with Mike Maimone, on tour for the release of his 15th album and 1st book, both called Guess What? I Love You.

This show features Mike performing songs from his new album on solo piano. Guiding the audience on an emotional journey, he will also read short selections from his book, which received a Kirkus recommendation, endorsements from Don Lemon and other bestselling authors, and Los Angeles Magazine called it "a moving account of love, loss and the radical act of staying open to possibility.”

The companion pieces are a tribute to his late husband Howard Bragman, who championed the LGBTQ+ community by helping celebrities navigate their coming out journeys, and was a beloved Hollywood luminary appearing on everything from RuPaul's Drag Race to Good Morning America.

Maimone's piano-based music is often compared to Randy Newman, Leon Russell, Tom Waits, and Dr. John.

About the venue

The Los Angeles LGBT Center traces its roots to 1969 and is one of the largest LGBTQ+ organisations anywhere. The Schrader Boulevard building in Hollywood is its main service hub, with health and HIV services, mental health support, legal help, and programmes for youth and older adults…

“The entire staff has been really great, with one exception: I've clashed with their security guards on two separate occasions. Some of them are rude and need sensitivity training. I am the nicest person in the world, so I don't appreciate rudeness at all.” — Zen Tao, Google
“I've been a client of the LGBT Center for years now and they've always taken very good care of me. My health is really good thanks to Dr. Alvarado and all the Nurses. A special thanks to all of you at the Gay and Lesbian Center.” — T B, Google
