Beyond the Basics for Parents and Caregivers: Talking About Sexual Health and Wellness With Your LGBTQ+ Youth
About the event
Join PFLAG NYC and Kemar McIntosh on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. ET for a virtual workshop focused on helping parents and caregivers have open, affirming, and age-appropriate conversations with their LGBTQ+ kids about sex, relationships, and bodies.
We’ll cover healthy sexual development, consent and boundaries, safer sex practices, online and media influences, and how to support your child without shame or fear. Whether your child is already asking questions or you’re anticipating them, this session will help you feel more confident and informed in those discussions.
This workshop will take place on Zoom and is free to attend. The presentation is meant only for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ teens and tweens, so please make sure you’ll have privacy from your kids when attending.
Register using this registration form(opens in new tab), and the Zoom link will be provided on the confirmation page. Note that no replay will be available, so registrants must attend live.
If you have any questions, please contact info@pflagnyc.org.
