About This Event
Hampton Roads PrideFest is the big Saturday of Pride weekend on Norfolk's downtown waterfront, and the one thing it has that other American prides don't is a boat parade. Hampton Roads Pride bills its Pride Boat Parade on the Elizabeth River as the only one in the country, and Visit Norfolk repeats the claim. Boats of all sizes can enter, and you watch from the railings of Town Point Park.
The weekend runs Friday to Sunday across Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Friday night is a block party, Saturday is the free daytime festival in Town Point Park with vendors, food, drag and live music, and the boat parade usually sets off around noon. Entry is free; in 2025 the organizers asked people to RSVP.
The 2026 edition took place on June 26 and 27 at Town Point Park, with Crystal Envy on the Friday and 76th Street, LaLa Ri and Mia Starr on Saturday. The 2025 weekend was June 20 to 22, with Big Freedia, Vanessa Vanjie and Dev billed as headliners. Local TV and event listings talk about tens of thousands of people, but we couldn't find a real count for any recent year.
It usually falls on the last or second-to-last weekend of June. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
