About the venue

The SF Eagle at 398 12th Street is San Francisco's best-known leather bar. It opened in 1981, closed in 2011 and reopened in 2013 after locals campaigned to save it. The crowd is mostly leather, bears and SoMa regulars, but you don't need gear to drink here…

“The bartender David is such a good dude. Very considerate and understanding. Please give him a raise. The bar is extremely fun for Monday karaoke. I would highly recommend. Dana and Kitten the KJs are also a wonderful jockeys. Extremely patient and fun vibes. They need a lot of love and a raise. Thank you for such a wonderful night :)” — Omar Aguilar, Google
“Great leather bar that gets crowded on the weekends, which is fun, but it can be a little clicky” — J L, Google
