Hyatt Place Columbus/OSU

Definitely a great place to stay. Very clean. A little costly, but the staff is absolutely fantastic. There were allot of Competitive Softball and Volleyball teams here this weekend with early games scheduled on Sunday. Mr Devon (Desk Host) and his fellow staff went above and beyond opening the breakfast area over an hour early to ensure a couple dozen teenagers nutritional needs were met to start the big game day off right. Thanks for the good experience, you guys straight up killed it.

The hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious. However, the front desk staff is so rude. The woman was rude at check in and even more rude when I called the front desk. I asked what time the pool closed. She said 10, then immediately hung up. We got all ready and went down to the pool. We get there and they closed it for maintenance. She said nothing when I called only 15 minutes prior. Very annoying. I called back to ask if it was closed for the night or temporarily. She said I just found out, then said for the night and hung up on me. Just rude for no reason.

When I stayed at this Hyatt location the staff was horrible and expensive and hotel patrons weren't that friendly and I was treated with disrespect by the caucasian management and by the staff that I had to put in their damn places and school them. they overcharged my bank card and I believe they calle dthe Columbus police department on me in June 2023 for asking about their service and unaauthorized charges on my bank card. I was also being harassed out my hotel room by a Caucasian female manager after I was being given extra time to get out of room because of the elevator problems, problems with the room and access to their luggage carts. Also they will treated you base on a class and wealth level and with prejudice despite your job and how much money you make. I also believe the hotel has issues with having spirits in the hotel

Family of three - stayed here for two nights. Hotel is relatively new and very clean. Pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of our twin queen room. It included a "living room" area with pull-out sectional sofa and tables. It's possible to watch TV in this area with minimal impact to others who are sleeping. Free breakfast is typical but good quality. They have a small market counter that included drinks, snacks, and baked goods. Several full-service restaurants are within a 15 min walk. The general area is very safe - looks like a planned rehabbed neighborhood with modern mixed use buildings containing commercial space, condos, and hotels. I'm typically a Marriott guy, but if all Hyatt Places are like this one, I may reconsider. Note: This is for Hyatt PLACE and not the nearby Hyatt HOUSE. Hyatt House tends to be a more economical Hyatt brand with fewer amenities.

Nice location and nice size rooms. You can't hear others next to you. Breakfast was good. Work out room was fair.

Great location, complimentary breakfast was perfect. My only complaint is the elevators in this building are infuriatingly slow. It was mind blowing.

I have stayed here multiple times for both business and personal reasons. It has a great location to downtown Columbus while also being close to the interstate.

Parking is right across and free, which is convenient and the location of Hyatt is very nice with proximity to good restaurants and university campus. Although, Breakfast was not good. There was an artificial papery taste in scrambled eggs, frozen tasting sausages and soggy/mushed fruit (mostly melons & some grapes). Elevator was really slow like in an ancient building. It served the purpose of an overnight stay with clean room and comfortable beds.
