Movie Screening of Andre is an Idiot

Join Meaningful Movies Ballard for a virtual screening of André Is an Idiot, a funny, candid, and unexpectedly moving documentary about life, death, and what really matters.
After ignoring his doctor’s advice to get a colonoscopy, André is diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer. Rather than shy away from what comes next, he turns the camera on himself, documenting his experience with humor, honesty, and a refreshing lack of sentimentality. The result is a deeply personal film about facing mortality while continuing to find absurdity, connection, and joy in everyday life.
Following the film, we’ll be joined for a conversation with Anita Isler, Executive Director of Colon Cancer Stars and a Stage IV colon cancer survivor. Colon Cancer Stars’ mission is to save lives by educating people about the importance of colorectal cancer screening.
