Obnoxiously loud noise from other guests and from the street all night. I mean all night; we didn't sleep. I get that it's a hostel, but there needs to be minimum standards for behavior. The women who worked at reception were very helpful and organized a refund for our second night, so we could book somewhere else and actually sleep. The room also had a few dead cockroaches and one of the single bed sheets had a dirty spot.

Good location in Newtown, amongst many quirky stores and good eateries. However, the beds were awful, I could feel (and see) every single spring in the mattress. Lumpiest night’s sleep of my life. Plus the bathroom door would lock even though no one was in there so I would repeatedly have to unlock the door from the outside. However, if you need a cheap place to stay and don’t mind the condition, this property is fine.

Great backpackers! The location is amazing, real close to the Main Street where you can find absolutely anything, but it remains a really quiet place. Everything was clean and organised! Good complete kitchen, nice pool, very easy to meet people and get tips on Sydney. Great management!! I’ll definitely come back.

At first you don't fall in love with the place. But once you get there it's the best hostel you can stay in. Great atmosphere, great people, and the truth is that the price-quality ratio is decent. For me the best neighborhood in Sydney. I couldn't be happier to have chosen this hostel.

Great option if you want cheap accomodation, don't mind hippe backpackers' vibe and sharing kitchen/bedroom/bathroom. I stayed for 2 nights when didn't make it to my flight to Europe, checked in late, the staff was very helpful, supportive and always available.Rooms have separate bathrooms, but there is also common one with showers, always clean and well maintained. There are many places you can sit and do your stuff, have friendly conversations with other guests. For me it had a unique atmosphere which really picked me up after stresful flight situation!
