R3 Sauna

R3 sauna is disgusting. They have a double standard with pricing: one price for Thais (in Thai numbers) and another for foreigners (in Arabic numerals). The service and ambiance weren't the best, but the price was the highest. Hope R3 sauna close down soon.

I was impressed from my first visit.

I've been to this place countless times, from the Spring Festival of 2016 until now, a full 10 years. Excluding the three years of the pandemic, the ticket price has doubled, and the environment hasn't changed much, but it feels like the lighting is getting dimmer everywhere. Also, the clientele is mainly from mainland China, especially on holidays when most of the customers are from mainland China. Another characteristic of this place is that even on Saturdays, the busiest day, it's not very crowded from 3 PM to 5 PM. People start arriving around 7 PM, peaking at 8 PM, but then quickly decreasing again after 9 PM. This is very different from 39 Sauna, where people are there as soon as it opens at noon, and it gets crowded around 2 PM and 3 PM. Also, 39 Sauna has people of all ages, mainly local Thais, with many muscular men and handsome guys. Everyone is very proactive and polite, gently patting you when you refuse. In contrast, R3 has many arrogant mainland Chinese people, maybe younger ones with good looks and physiques, who will hit you if you touch them in the dark. I think these people come to the sauna just to show off and get attention.

It felt terrible, not as fun as 39.

The weekend party atmosphere was explosive, the light maze was exciting, and there were many young Asian guests. The themed nights were creative, but you need to bring your own slippers and ask for them. Overall, it's still worth checking out.
