The Science of Dating – Mindfulness and effective communication for our romantic life

Dating should be a pleasant aspect of our lives, but it can also be very frustrating, in particular within the queer community. Getting to know new people and finding the one(s) we click with can be hindered by lack of communication, ghosting, unclear goals, and emotional exhaustion. In this workshop, we will talk about the science behind dating and explore tools for navigating rejection, conflicts, and romantic frustration.

You’ll explore:

Neuroscience of rejection sensitivity, science of belonging, romantic connection, dopamine circuit

How to communicate our needs and goals in an effective way

Active listening methods for dating, empathy for understanding other people’s needs, (self) compassion

Group activities and discussion for sharing tips, tricks, and common situations

Join us to discover how to make our personal / dating lives better.

What to bring: paper and a pen. 

Date/time: Saturday 14th November 2026, 15:00-17:00 (plus optional 30 minutes of discussion at the end)
