**About the facilitator**
[Chess For All][1] is a collective of people who enjoy organising Chess
Clubs and playing this ancient and gorgeous game in community centres,
art galleries, libraries, bookshops, cafes and members’ clubs in London.
**Queer Chess Club statement**
* We create chess clubs for all: queer, migrant, women, trans,
nonbinary, gender nonconforming, Black and Brown, disabled players and
anyone else unrepresented in chess
* All levels of chess are welcome, with a special emphasis on beginners
and those who would like to learn the rules and play their first games
* We avoid elitism or gatekeeping – nobody knows everything about chess
and we’re all here to learn!
* We take responsibility – we all shape the club's culture
* We are mindful of how we give feedback – kindness first, always
* We respect pronouns and identities – always ask, never assume
