Austin Front Runners Run
About the event
Our Mission: To bring runners together to support one another and network within our community. Our Vision: Members of the group participate in running events that are held locally, nationally, and internationally. Above all we offer one another friendly support. We have runners and walkers whose ability ranges from novice to experienced marathoners and Ironmen. Come out for a run and have fun! We welcome everyone to our group. We are a LGBTQ+ running group. Location: Our starting point is at “The Rock” under Mopac Pedestrian Bridge (Veterans Dr) on the north shore of the lake near Austin High School. We start arriving about 15 minutes early to stretch and warm up before our run. How long are the runs? The runs vary in length from 3-10 miles. 3 Mile loop: From Mopac to the Pfluger Pedestrian bridge and back. 4 Mile loop: From Mopac to the South First Street bridge and back. 5 Mile loop: From Mopac to the Congress Avenue bridge and back. 7 Mile loop: From Mopac to the I-35 bridge and back.
