About this place Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum

Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum is a large hotel and conference complex on Sportovní Street in Královo Pole, north of central Brno. It is a gay-friendly mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. Google gives it 4.3 from about 4,800 reviews. Business and event guests make up most of the trade, and the complex has meeting and leisure facilities. Brno's historic centre is a short tram ride south. The few gay bars in the city are there as well. Expect quieter weekends and better rates then.

We arrived two hours before check-in to leave our luggage. On reception we learned that our room was ready and we got upgraded to the executive status. Room was excellent, and executive status gives access to the welness center and Cosmo Sky Lounge with refreshments and roof terrace with the view of the city. Hotel offers free parking and excellent breakfast. City center is 30 minutes walk away or 15 minutes by bus. Highly recommended.

I see a lot of reviews that it's a Soviet legacy, that the air conditioning in the room doesn't work, that the breakfast is bad, etc. Yes, the hotel is old, the location is near an old abandoned stadium, but everything in the hotel is great! Everything you need. The room was very tidy, the bathroom was shiny, clean, the elevator has an interesting system (you need to use it with a guest card), the air conditioning works. We had a delicious dinner, there was live music. You can reserve the pool for an hour (no extra charge), which we did, we were alone in it! Everything is great. But if you want to get hung up on the details, then that's another story.

Thank you so much for a great experience! The staff was very nice, they really took care of us. We were given a non-alcoholic option in the room, which we are very grateful for. Overall we felt amazing and we will definitely come back.
