Amazing place to stay, for lovers of the outdoors, hikers, bikers, Santiago pilgrims, digital nomads, lost souls - very welcoming, lovely restored reception area in a historic building which encourages people to pause and chat. The dorm was surprisingly quiet, everyone very respectful and making an effort not to disturb each other. Excellent cooking facilities. The owners are delightful, very knowledgeable and hands on, which is to my mind what makes this place work so well. The river Hérault is a 10-15 minute walk if you want a bracing morning dip, in a tranquil spot full of nightingales and herons (before everyone else turns up to enjoy the world heritage site later). Also recommend the bakery for good sourdough, Chez Djo for takeaway Japanese style food, the lady who sells delicious strawberries, eggs and honey down the Rue des Écoles Laïques, L'Utopien bar for a little sophistication and some gorgeous hikes in the hills behind the village.

Everything was perfect. The hostel is really lovely, it feels like a hotel but with the cozy, hostel-like atmosphere you find in places like New Zealand. The host was very friendly; she even gave me a dorm room to myself because she sensed I needed it! Thanks again! It's just a stone's throw from the Devil's Bridge and 10 minutes from Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Excellent value for money, unbeatable. Thank you!

A haven of peace. A very warm welcome. The room was quiet and clean, with very comfortable bedding. The bathroom/toilet was brand new. The breakfast was generous and reasonably priced. In short, highly recommended. Thank you, Brigitte, for your welcoming hospitality. We will be back.
