Barbie Deinhoff is a small, friendly cocktail bar in Berlin’s Friedrichshain, an easy walk from the Schlesisches Tor U-Bahn station.
This is a DJ bar first, a cocktail bar second. The music is the main thing; the drinks are there to help you settle in. It’s a relaxed place, not exclusive or trying too hard.
Its best feature: the crowd. Everyone seems to fit in. People from all parts of the LGBTQ+ community and beyond, all ages, all genders. It feels like a real neighborhood spot, not a scene. They describe themselves as "not trying to be remarkable," which is exactly what makes it so good—a cozy, genuinely queer space where you can actually relax.
Berlin’s gay bars range from massive dance clubs to tiny lounges. This one’s definitely on the smaller, more personal side. If you want a drink, some good music, and a queer space that’s chill, not a high-energy club, this is your spot. Find more info at barbiedeinhoff.de.

Fully renovated. Perfekt personal 👌 the toilets are not quite in order yet so 4 stars
Did you really manage to reopen? I recently walked past the place and saw work being done inside with the shutters half-open. I wasn't sure if it was a renovation of your bar or a re-furnishing. It would be great if you were open again. I remember you from before; it was always great at your place.
As Berlin as it can be
Kind people, awesome atmosphere, good music... The drinks could be better. For sure a good place to start a night. Or for a small break.
