DebrecenPride

DebrecenPride is the volunteer LGBTQ+ group serving Debrecen and the surrounding Hajdu-Bihar county. Founded in 2017, it works for local visibility and community-building rather than running a large annual street march — an activity that faces legal obstacles under Hungary's 2025 assembly restrictions. Its programme includes Rainbow Week film screenings, Pink Picnics, social meet-ups and cultural events, publicised mainly through the group's Facebook page and supported in part by the national Budapest Pride organisation's rural outreach.
