Ubu Bar

Ubu Bar is the primary LGBTQ+-welcoming venue in Bergamo — a cocktail bar and cultural space in the Città Bassa that hosts regular queer events, art openings and community meetups in coordination with Arcigay Bergamo. The bar takes its name from Alfred Jarry's anarchic theatrical character, which suggests something of its identity: irreverent, creative and interested in culture beyond the mainstream. Good cocktails, local wines, aperitivo from 18:00. The crowd is mixed across age and gender within the LGBTQ+ community. Bergamo is 40 minutes from Milan Porta Garibaldi, so visitors from the city are a regular feature on weekend evenings.
