FVG Pride (Friuli-Venezia Giulia Pride)
About This Event
FVG Pride is the regional Pride of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, organised by the volunteer association FVG Pride ODV. It does not stay in one city and is not held every year. The first edition was in Udine in 2017. In 2019 the march went from Trieste station to Piazza Unità, 2021 brought a cross-border edition, and in 2024 it went to Lignano Sabbiadoro at the end of August. The 2026 Pride was the sixth edition.
In 2026 the Pride returned to Udine on Saturday 3 October. It had first been announced for 26 September, and organisers had already moved it out of high summer because of the heat. The slogan was "Affrontando il clima ostile" (Facing the hostile climate). The manifesto centred on trans self-determination, recognition of families, and social and climate justice. Local press reported more than 2,500 people marching from Parco Moretti, where the Pride Village was set up, through the city centre. The organisers said the event was funded by individual donations. The City of Udine's patronage turned into a political row in the days before the march.
The city and date of the next edition hadn't been announced when we checked.
