LGBT United

LGBT United is an LGBTQ+ advocacy group in North Macedonia. It was among the groups active in the earliest public LGBTQ+ organizing in Skopje, including the 2013 Pride Week — the event series that predated the country's first Pride march in 2019. Its work has centred on visibility, community support and pushing for anti-discrimination protections. Note that Skopje's most active LGBTQ+ organizations today are Coalition MARGINS, Subversive Front (Skopje Queer Center) and the LGBTI Support Center of the Helsinki Committee; travellers looking for current events and community contacts should reach those groups directly.
